Make sure to read through it, go to the website for more info and, of course, let us know if you have any questions. 67th Annual Family & Alumni Picnic Sunday, October 15, 2017 Blackford Campus 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Visit Website Weather forecast calls for sunny skies, with a high of 77°. It’s perfect weather to round up your family and join us for a Harker Hoedown at this year’s 67th annual Family & Alumni Picnic! Spend the day in the Wild West. Look for an appearance from Sharkie from the San Jose Sharks hockey team or just play a little hockey in the Sharks Slapshot Booth. Jump on our mechanical bull and see how long you can stay on. Dunk a teacher at the popular dunk tank, back by popular demand. Of course, we’ll still have old favorites like the carnival games, kids’ wheels, auction, raffle and food. And don’t forget to watch the fantastic student show. Be sure to hashtag your Facebook and Instagram posts with #harkerpicnic to include your posts in the Harker collection! Be A Volunteer Join in the fun by working a booth at the picnic. We have many opportunities: choose a booth or just sign up to help and we will find a spot for you. Join us, Sat. Oct. 7 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. on the Blackford Campus, for some coffee, donuts and fun getting ready for the big event. Games and Activities Pre-Event Preparations Baked Goods Don’t “Leaf” Anyone Behind Avoid the wait for the admission at the gate and save money by pre-purchasing your admission tickets online. Remember, admission to the picnic is $10 if pre-purchased online by Oct. 13. After this date, admission may be purchased the day of the event for $15. Children under 3 and grownups over 75 are free. Alumni will get tickets through the alumni page on the website. Pre-purchase online Be on the lookout for awesome auction items - We are days away from the opening of our silent auction! Make sure you check out our terrific teacher packages and baskets. We guarantee to have something for everyone. Kindergartners can stay up late with our fabulous kindergarten teachers; students can hit the waves and learn to Boogie Board; parents can take a break from cooking and try Chef Steve’s delicious dinners. Or, stop by your favorite fifth-grade teacher’s home while you’re out trick-or-treating, to eat pizza and gather an assortment of candy that will be the highlight of the night. Of course, the Bucknall sleepover is always a hit and always sells out. We’ll keep adding items until the day of the picnic, and bidding will close at the end of the event.
