Dear Harker Faculty and Staff Parents,

We look forward to another year with you, and continuing to guide your child’s educational journey. The Harker admission team will be sending you your 2020-21 re-enrollment contract next week in an email from our new enrollment software, Ravenna; please keep an eye out for this email. Also, we are pleased to note that this coming year lunch will be included in tuition for K-5, as it has been for many years for middle and upper school.

For consistent and equitable enrollment contract processing, all staff families are required to make a 5% deposit towards the net balance of tuition as reflected in the enrollment contract. The deposit will be credited towards the student’s annual tuition balance. In addition, please make any necessary household information updates at this time to your student record.

It is our privilege and an honor to bring out the best in children at Harker each and every day. Our mission is to motivate, challenge and inspire all of our students in academics, extracurricular interests and their personal development to help them be the best that they can be. We are especially humbled to know that we are carrying on a mission that started more than 125 years ago. While one school, each of our divisions plays a special role in the life of our students.

Our TK and lower school children are laying a foundation and beginning a journey of learning and growth that will last a lifetime. They require stimulating classroom, extracurricular and peer environments to challenge them to reach their potential. Their natural curiosity is a joy to develop.

Middle school children are especially ready, developmentally, to explore academic and extracurricular offerings and to begin to shape their purpose and passions for the future. Harker teachers and coaches, as well as their own inspiring peers, are eager to help students reach their full potential. And the opening of their new campus in fall 2021 will provide them even greater opportunities to flourish.

Students in the upper school are preparing to take their places as young adults in college and beyond. Harker’s upper school takes pride in providing an unparalleled academic and extracurricular journey that is unique to each student. Students can explore their passions deeply, whatever they may be, while still obtaining broad exposure across all areas.

Your tuition, along with the generous philanthropy of our community, covers our rich and varied academic and curricular offerings, enrichment and supervision from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., our outstanding food service, highly qualified nursing and counseling services, robust libraries, well-trained and caring security, and so much more. As we continue to deliver the excellence you expect in our programs, we are so honored to have your family with us.

Wishing you all a wonderful 2020!

Sincerely,
