Some of my fondest memories are of walking with my class along the tree-lined streets of Palo Alto to the Lucy Stern Library, learning to swim in the Harker pool, jumping on the trampoline, going to Mr. Nichols’ house for candy canes, sweet Mrs. Williams – the best principal ever – and the kind and knowledgeable staff and teachers who enriched my grammar school days.
