It has been so much fun to see the kaleidoscope of outfits this school year on both campuses as we transition into our exciting new Harker uniforms by Tommy Hilfiger. The new uniforms have proven so exciting, in fact, that our supplier has gone out-of-stock in some items. Demand for the new green and plaid Harker apparel has proven to be higher than anyone expected. Adding to this issue is the fact that one of the United States’ major uniform suppliers shut down unexpectedly in the spring, causing their many school customers to switch over to Tommy Hilfiger, thus increasing Hilfiger’s load.
While the backorder of some uniform items has stymied some of you, the kids are looking great in whatever uniform they are donning, and the year is off to a good start. It’s even fitting that our 125th anniversary year has a nod to both the old and the new uniforms; remember, all are good this year. Thanks for helping your kids go with the flow, and rest assured that Tommy Hilfiger is working furiously to get the backordered items into inventory as quickly as possible and to offer parents with backordered plaid bottoms a free substitute navy blue item in their child’s size. We will keep you posted.
