We are proud to host Walter D. Greason, Ph.D., at our annual Martin Luther King celebration, featuring special musical guest Kev Choice with The Harker Orchestra. A Q&A and reception will be held afterwards.

Seating is open, but we request an RSVP.

Walter D. Greason, Ph.D., teaches American and world history, using media ecology, economics and African diaspora studies. His areas of research include urban planning, Afrofuturism and multimedia user experience design. More information on Walter D. Greason.

Kev Choice is a musician, educator, cultural strategist and community leader from Oakland who explores the power, beauty and global impact of music from the Black diaspora. More information on Kev Choice.
The Harker Speaker Series launched in 2008 to bring leaders and visionaries from a wide variety of fields to share their expertise or unique experiences with the community.

The Harker Concert Series launched in 2010-11 as part of the school’s ongoing commitment to share thoughtful, entertaining and engaging events with the greater Bay Area community.
