Dear Parents,
I hope you had a restful Thanksgiving holiday, with time for gathering and reflection with your family.
In recent years, the Friday and Monday after Thanksgiving have been designated for shopping deals – Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Now we have #GivingTuesday, a global day started in 2012 and dedicated to giving back. Last year over 45,000 organizations in 71 countries took part, and this year, on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, charities, families, businesses and students around the world will come together to celebrate generosity and to give.
Here at The Harker School, we would not be able to offer the high level of education and extracurricular activities and excellent facilities for our students without the philanthropic support of our community. Every day of the year, and especially on #GivingTuesday, we express our gratitude for the charitable giving that transforms our school.
