I recently had the chance to tour the new Rothschild Performing Arts Center. Even though the building is not yet finished, it was easy to see that the large, light-filled classrooms will be welcoming and inspiring to our students every day, and the theater will offer an intimate and comfortable experience for our audiences.
I also enjoyed having literally a behind-the-scenes tour of the stagecraft features of the building. Special insulation in the rehearsal rooms maintains sound quality, and the highly technical rigging in the theater fly space will provide for professional-level and sophisticated scene and set changes in our student productions.
Please take the time to watch the construction video linked in this update to learn more about the backstage features of the performing arts center.
Sincerely,
Brian Yager
Head of School

Along with the auditorium in Rothschild Performing Arts Center, there are rehearsal rooms, practice rooms and a top-flight scene shop to support the Harker Conservatory and the 350-400 students participating in performing arts each day. Moving day in February will be the culmination of years of dreaming and hard work.
