Recently we honored major contributors to annual giving and capital giving at the Head of School’s Circle Celebration. Keeping with tradition, student groups Downbeat and Dance Fusion entertained our 250 guests with lively performances.
Another highlight of the evening were the hard hat tours of the athletics center and performing arts center. The sight of hard hats with evening wear lent a festive feeling to the evening.
Actually being inside the new gym and theater provides a completely different sense of the buildings. The architects on the project led the tours, explaining the thought that went into the design and describing the key features. Standing in the space where the audience will sit and seeing how close the seats are to the stage helped our guests imagine attending a student show there. Viewing the gym floor from the lobby entrance provided a sense of the scope of the space on a game day.
Please take the time to watch the latest construction update video below. You’ll hear about the latest electrical upgrades and get a peek into the new gym.

We still need additional support to complete the construction, and it’s not too late to participate in this project. Gifts of $2,500 and above qualify for a naming opportunity in the new buildings, as well as a paving tile in the central plaza. Gifts may be made online. Please contact Joe Rosenthal, executive director of advancement, at joe.rosenthal@harker.org with any questions.
