Here is Harker’s next construction update to the Cambrian community. Construction is moving along as scheduled, and here are a few highlights:
•
The foundations have been poured. All foundation-related excavation has been completed.
•
Excavation and placement of the main firewater line has been taking place in the center of the southside driveway on Saturdays and the last Saturday will be this Sat., Aug. 29. (This activity needed to take place on multiple Saturdays because the work was in the middle of the only access road to the primary jobsite. Immediate neighbors were separately notified of this.) This should conclude Saturday work for the next couple of months.
•
The bulk of all excavation activities are complete. Importing of soil to raise the new field area has mostly been completed until the actual planting of the field in April-May of 2021.

Pouring of the classroom building slab on the Barrett Avenue side of our campus is complete. We will be doing this activity again in early September for the gym/theater building on the Esther Avenue side of the campus.

Erection of the classroom building began today and will be completed by mid-September. Then the steel decking for the second floor will begin and take about two weeks. The noisiest activities associated with the classroom building, which is closest to our Barrett Avenue neighbors, should be complete around the first of October. The gym and theater building frame, which is closest to our Esther Avenue neighbors, will be erected from late September into early October, then the second floor decking will be installed, with the noisiest portion of that building lasting about two weeks. We’re working hard to have the loudest activities associated with both building projects completed by early November.
