Hello!

I’m so thrilled that you are interested in our wonderful school!

Harker is an institution near and dear to my heart for many reasons. I was fortunate to attend Harker and receive an incredible K-8 education that served as a strong foundation for me as a lifelong learner (that’s me in the photo below!). After Harker launched its upper school in 1998 my two children attended Harker K-12 and they, too, received an outstanding education due to Harker’s broad programs, strong academics and inclusive community. Harker is truly a family affair for us!

Each day our elementary division students arrive eager to learn and excited to see their friends. Our lower school faculty and staff love the Harker community and are invested in the success of each child; it’s clear with each hug, each high five and each supporting cheer as our students learn and play on our campus.

When the school day ends, the learning, action and fun continue. Almost all our students remain on campus and are involved in amazing after-school activities ranging from athletics, performing arts, specialty classes (like cooking and karate) or just hanging out with friends on the playground or in the library. The campus is humming with activity until 6 p.m. (when campus closes) and it really feels like a neighborhood for our students.

Each October we have Harker Day, which brings the entire TK-12 community and alumni together to celebrate Harker and our students. Throughout the year the students enjoy field trips, performances, assemblies and so much more.

We look forward to meeting you during the admission process.

Sincerely,

Kristin Giammona
