Hello, Harker Applicant Families!
Harker is known for its academics, broad programs and inspiring teachers. What you may not know is that Harker is also an incredibly welcoming, supportive, fun, and close-knit community of students, parents, faculty and alumni who share a love of learning and a passion for making the world a better place.

From early experiences like Eagle Buddies (which pairs lower and upper school students for three years) to cheering on friends at sporting events and class competitions, to bonding on school trips and dozens of other events, deep and lasting friendships are formed. Alumni often become mentors and speak to students about their college, life and career experiences and stay connected with each other through regional events and reunions. Alumni are also celebrated in many ways, including annual recognition in our Athletic Hall of Fame and Life in the Arts award. Our alumni and alumni families say that the friends they make at Harker truly are friends for life.
At Harker we celebrate this community through rich traditions – like Harker Day – as well as special events, like our Harker Concert Series and Harker Speaker Series and our annual Grandparents’ Day. Throughout the year we host a variety of events for students, parents, alumni, donors and community members to connect, grow and celebrate our traditions and common mission.
