Alumni Friends,
We are excited to invite you to the Harker Alumni Networking Luncheon, with guest speaker Dr. Leyna Cotran ’94, held during the Harker Research Symposium. See below for special alumni details.
There will be no parking at the upper school campus. Shuttles will run all day to and from the middle school campus at 3800 Blackford Ave., San Jose 95117, starting at 7:30 a.m.
Alumni Luncheon & Registration Info
Join your friends and network at our second annual Harker Alumni Luncheon, from 12-1:30 p.m. in the Manzanita Bistro. Come early and browse the symposium, then enjoy lunch and our special alumna speaker.
Dr. Leyna Cotran '94 will speak on the important collaboration between academia and industry.
Lunch will be Parmesan-crusted salmon, grilled lemon rosemary chicken, Italian roasted fingerling potatoes, grilled asparagus, kale salad with cranberries, feta and almonds, focaccia and dessert.

Scroll down under Registration, click “Promotion Code” and enter “ALUMNI”. You will be prompted to select the number of alumni tickets you wish, and then proceed with the registration process. You will be printing your tickets to the event.

About the Event
Organized by Harker’s Women in STEM Club (WiSTEM), this huge annual community event showcases the discoveries of Harker’s young scientists and alumni, honors the work of career scientists and entrepreneurs, and celebrates Silicon Valley’s innovative spirit. “We capitalize on Harker’s proximity to world class technology development to boost the symposium beyond a showcase for student projects into the realm of opening visitors’ minds to new ideas as they emerge,” noted Anita Chetty, science department chair and WiSTEM advisor. The event includes the following:
Dozens of talks by SIEMENS/INTEL/SYNOPSYS competitors, semifinalists and finalists
Pre-registered workshop on machine learning
More than 40 poster sessions by middle and upper school students
Panel on technical writing, research internships and research competitions
Interactive displays by corporate exhibitors
STEM activities for preschool and lower school students
Pre-registered Maker Workshop for lower school students: build a Lego robot and enter it in a balloon race!
Pre-registered Maker Workshop for middle school students: make and take your pan pipe and CD spectroscope!
Two robots, a chemistry magic show and so much more!
